SACWG had a report of Barn Owls in the Cardington area and a local farmer agreed for us to put a Barn Owl box in a remote barn. With instructions from the Barn Owl Trust a box was made and installed. Another farmer, this time on the Long Mynd, wanted one. So now there are two and we will wait to see if this beautiful creature makes use of them. Their call is a screech as opposed to the “twit – twoo” which is the Tawny Owl.
