‘Thank you’ to those who have replied to previous requests and sent information about target species for our bird survey. Cuckoos have been particularly well reported, and Dippers bred successfully in Little Stretton. The surveys finished in mid-June, but it’s still not too late to help. If you have seen or heard a Curlew, Lapwing, Cuckoo, Kestrel or Dipper, or evidence of breeding Red Kites, anywhere in the Strettons area since April 2026, and haven’t already told us about it, please tell Leo Smith (leo@leosmith.org.uk 07791 901732). Many thanks.

Fewer Curlew, Lapwing and Kestrel appear to have been found than in recent years. Can you add any sightings of them, please? More information on the projects can be found on this Website.  Results for 2026 will be published in the Autum.
