The Woodland Trust is currently offering free trees to educational establishments, local authorities and not-for-profit community groups based in England, Scotland and Wales. Visit The Woodland Trust website (www.woodlandtrust.org.uk).

The free packs come in eight different species mixes of 15, 30, 105 or 420 saplings to accommodate every project and give everyone a chance to plant a tree. Whether you’re growing an outdoor classroom, sheltering a sports pitch or transforming your neighbourhood, this is an opportunity to get involved and make a real difference for people and nature where you live, work or play.

Trees keep us cool in summer, clean our air and help reduce flooding. They encourage more wildlife with food and shelter, boost our physical and mental health, and help fight climate change too. Send us your pictures if you get involved! We would love to see how you are getting on. If you need some support or would like to see how our community group could help you receive the trees, then please get in touch (pennybienz@hotmail.com).
