Swallows in our stable next to Catherton Common being fed.
This was first brood (little later than other years) and they used the artificial nest-cup which was put up couple of years ago funded by the nest box scheme grant.  Lack of mud because of the dry April/June probably made this a good option for them this year. All 5 fledged the same day (8th July 2020) and are now flying around with their attentive parents. For the last 10 years or so we have had 1 or occasionally 2 pairs nesting every year in our stables. So satisfying to see them come back every year.
