On Monday, 13th February, our AGM was followed by a return visit from Ric Morris, this time presenting his photos from “the trip of a lifetime” to see European brown bears on the Finland/Russia border.
The bears literally crossed the ‘Finnish Line’ as they invariably came over from the Russian side of the border to feed close to the hides set up for observers. Ric showed us the differences between the huge males and smaller, more timid, females – and there were some shots that included cubs (which drew long “aaaah”s from the audience!).
