Michael Williams of West Midlands Butterfly Conservation will be leading local butterfly walks on Wednesday 14th July. The day will be split into two, giving people the option to stay all day or just opt for either the morning or afternoon. The morning walk, hoping to find Grayling, will meet at the NT chalet in the Cardingmill Valley for 10.30am. The afternoon walk, hoping to find Dark Green Fritillary, will meet in the main car park in Batch Valley at 2pm. Each walk will be for a maximum of two hours.
If you wish to join the walk, please pre-book by emailing mike2dewberry@hotmail.com specifying whether you want to come to just the morning or the afternoon walk, or you wish to stay the whole day.
Please wear appropriate clothing and stout footwear. The walks will go ahead whatever the weather but obviously we are hoping for sunshine!
If you are planning to make a day of it you should bring refreshments or plan on buying lunch at the NT cafe.
