Thanks to the wonderful support of a lot of local people, the target amount of £25,000 to purchase Cudwell Meadow has now been reached. When a small group began planning this during lockdown, it was hard to believe it could happen but we have happily been proved wrong.
The legal purchase process is now in hand and will hopefully be completed by next month. There are various pieces of work to complete before winter with volunteers. There will be some clearing and trees to plant along the new fence line, and we plan to sow Yellow Rattle seed to improve the flora in the wetland meadow.
