We are again working with Shropshire Ornithological Society (SOS) Save our Curlews campaign to find nests, put an electric fence around them to protect the eggs from predators, and then fix radio-tags to the chicks and track them to see how they use the landscape, and what happens to them. Not enough young birds fledge to replace the older birds dying off. We need to know why.

The project costs money, so we have launched an appeal to help pay for it. Please see the 2024 appeal leaflet (PDF) explaining the appeal.

If you can afford to do so, please consider making a donation using this donation form (DOCX).

Thank you,

Leo Smith
